A universal inhibitor Petri net executing an arbitrary given inhibitor Petri net is constructed. An inhibitor Petri net graph, its marking, and transition firing sequence are encoded as 10 scalar nonnegative integer variables and are represented by the corresponding places of the universal net. An algorithm using only these scalar variables and executing an arbitrary inhibitor net is developed based on the state equation and is encoded by the universal inhibitor Petri net. Subnets that implement arithmetic, comparison, and copy operations are employed.

Zaitsev D.A., Bolshakov S.I. E6 Addressing Scheme and Network Architecture // Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Technology, 1 (1) (2012) 18-31.

New E6 addressing scheme for the creation of world-wide networks totally constructed on the base of Ethernet technology is described. Hierarchic E6 addresses with the length of 6 octets are used instead of both Ethernet MAC-addresses and IP-addresses that allows the routing within world-wide networks and cuts overhead of TCP, IP headers; the address space is extended in 16K times regarding IP addresses. Standard Ethernet LLC2 facilities are employed for guaranteed delivery of information. E6 Network Architecture simplifies packets processing algorithms that improves the network performance and QoS.

The inhibitor Petri net with fixed structure that executes an arbitrary given normal algorithm of Markov was constructed. The algorithm and its input string are encoded by nonnegative integer numbers and put into dedicated places of the Petri net which implements the application of the algorithm productions over the string of symbols. The rules of the sequential, branching and cyclic processes encoding by Petri nets were used. At the completion of the net's work, the output string is restored (decoded) from the integer form of representation. The model’s structure is the same for any given network and contains fixed number of nodes. The tree-like topology of a definite network is given as the marking of dedicated places. The model represents a network containing workstations, servers, switches, and provides the evaluation of the network response time. Besides topology, the parameters of the model are performances of hardware and software used within the network. Performance evaluation for the network of the railway dispatcher center is implemented. Topics of the steady-stable condition and the optimal choice of hardware are discussed.

A technique of the linear invariants calculation for parametric Petri nets was developed which allowes the analysis of information transmission processes in hypercube. The decomposition technique for linear system solution is proposed. This technique may be combined with any known method of linear system solution. An essential acceleration of computations is obtained. Methods of linear system solution depend on the set of numbers used. For integer and especially for natural numbers all the known methods are hard enough. In this case the decomposition technique described allow the exponential acceleration of computations.

Report on scientific-research work "New World-wide Networks Addressing Systems Development", state register number 0108U008900 / D.A. Zaitsev, T.R. Shmeleva, K.D. Guliaiev // Odessa: ONAT, 2009.– 124 p. In Ukr.

The object of research is the operation processes of the packet switching networks; the subject of research is the world-wide networks addressing system, the network protocols stack, the packet delivery algorithms, the architecture and software of the networking devices. The goal of the work is the development of the uniform addressing system for the packet switching world-wide networks which provides the guaranteed quality of service, increases the payload, extends the address space. The new world-wide networks addressing system E6 and its modifications were presented; the corresponding stack of protocols and specifications of used devices and software were developed. The uniform network address E6 with the length of 6 octets and the hierarchical structure is applied instead of both IP and MAC addresses; protocols TCP and IP were annulled; for the guaranteed delivery of information the facilities of Ethernet LLC2 were used. The evaluations of the useful performance increase in 1,6 times and the packet delivery time decrease in 4 times were obtained; the network addresses space was extended in 16 thousand times regarding IP. The models of E6 networks with distance-vector routing and temporary turning-off devices in the form of the colored Petri nets were developed. The modeling of PBB networks was implemented as well as the comparative analysis of the obtained results regarding E6 addressing. As the essential flaw of PBB technology the unpredictable temporary overloads of the network caused by the broadcasting storms were revealed that makes impossible the guaranteed quality of service. The strategy of the practical implementation of E6 networks and the organization of gateways with TCP/IP networks were developed. The experimental software implementation of the stack of protocols E6 in the environment of operating system Linux kernel was fulfilled as well as the observance of E6 packets transmitting within network using traffic analyzer. The results of the work are aimed to the application as the new world-wide networks technology. It was offered to continue the research and provide an enterprise implementation of E6 networks which will have led Ukraine in the leaders of the information and communication technologies.

Way of data transmission in network with substitution of network and transport layers by universal technology of data-link layer .- Patent on utility model no. 35773, Registered in State Register of Ukraine Patents for Inventions 10.10.2008. In Ukrainian.

Way of data transmission in network with substitution of network and transport layers by universal technology of data-link layer is pertinent to telecommunication technology especially to frames switching and packets routing procedures in the computer network entirely built on the base of Ethernet technology. The way allows the decrease of packets delivery time between the end hosts of the network, the decrease of auxiliary information of packets headers, the avoidance of hosts duplicate addressing as well as increase the rationality of Ethernet hardware facilities usage and avoidance of their duplication by the software of networking protocols and the hardware of networking devices, expansion of network address space due to the usage of new address format E6 at all the layers of the etalon model of the open system interconnection. Practical realization of the proposed way consists in the usage of E6 addresses by application software and equipment which transmit electrical signals which carry Ethernet frames with E6 addresses instead of standard MAC-addresses. Moreover, the way stipulates the usage of peculiar switching-routers SRE6 for the frames delivery in network and allows the considerable simplification of the packets processing algorithms due to the usage of the SRE6 physical port number instead of the interface address and the analyzing standard Ethernet frame header only which contains E6 address instead of MAC-address.

A model allows the buffers' sizes and processors' numbers limitation as well as discipline FIFO realization for queues. An automatic measurement of the network response time is provided during imitation of model's behavior. For these purposes special measuring fragments of Petri nets are used. Zaitsev D.A. Functional Petri Nets, Universite Paris-Dauphine, Cahier du Lamsade 224 Avril 2005, 62p (www.lamsade.dauphine.fr/cahiers.html).

Functional Petri nets and subnets are introduced and studied for the purpose of speed-up of Petri nets analysis with algebraic methods. We show that any functional subnet may be generated by a composition of minimal functional subnets. We propose two ways to decompose a Petri net: via logical equations solution and with an ad-hoc algorithm, whose complexity is polynomial. Then properties of functional subnets are studied. We show that linear invariants of Petri net may be computed from invariants of its functional subnets; similar results also hold for the fundamental equation of Petri nets. A technique for Petri net analysis using composition of functional subnets is also introduced and studied. We show that composition-based calculation of invariants and solutions of fundamental equation provides a significant speed-up of computations. For an additional speed-up we propose a sequential composition of functional subnets. Sequential composition is formalized in the terms of graph theory and was named the optimal collapse of a weighted graph. At last, we apply the introduced technique to the analysis of Petri net models of such well-known telecommunication protocols as ECMA, TCP, BGP.

Stepwise composition allows the additional speed-up of computations at the expense of solution the sequence of systems with lesser dimension for subsets of contact places. For formal representation of decomposition into functional subnets weighted graph was used. Since stepwise composition compress graph into single vertex, the task was named a collapse of weighted graph. The width of collapse corresponds to dimension of solving system. Properties of collapse were studied; upper and lower bounds for width of collapse were obtained. Simple and effective heuristic algorithm of collapse was suggested. Results of arbitrary graphs collapse with this algorithm have shown that it provides a width of collapse close to optimal.
